Even though I hate driving (especially in the city), I love getting out on the open roads in the countryside. Ohio is not known for having he most diverse or visually appealing scenery. Some would say it’s boring, and I don’t entirely disagree. But it is home, that’s something that can’t be overlooked. It’s a part of my story.
My favorite drives are the ones in the summer and fall seasons. They can be so different but also elicit the same feelings of magic and awe inside of me. I watch the trees and low hills while the sun guides my way. Music from the stereo blares out, admittedly too loud at some points. My imagination flourishes, though I am able to still concentrate on the road.
The feelings I get on those drives remind me that there is something more to life. That maybe there is a God.
